The Syracuse Hometown Heroes banner program is a partnership between Syracuse Parks Conservancy, the Dunbar American Legion Post 1642, and the City of Syracuse. The partners are deeply grateful for the financial support from Syracuse Hometown Heroes sponsor, the Syracuse University Institute for Veterans and Military Families.
The cost of the banner is $160. They are hung and removed by the City of Syracuse on city-owned streetlights. In 2025, banners sites will be available in all quadrants of the city. Banners will be displayed each year between Memorial Day and Veterans Day for a three-year period.
