INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMISSIONS

This form can be submitted online, or may be downloaded, printed and sent in, following the directions on the downloaded form. Picture and $160 banner payment also need to be submitted. The first 300 orders will be accepted in the order they are received. Do not wait to submit your order.

Proofs of all banners will be posted to this website, the week of June 27.  If there are corrections, they need to be submitted by July 5. Banners will be hung by early August. Update: banners ordered for extended July 9 deadline will be posted later in August.

Terms and Conditions

Syracuse Hometown Heroes banner recipients must be active duty, retired, honorably discharged or those who gave their life in action in one of the branches of the U.S. Armed Forces. They must be current residents of the City of Syracuse or have lived in the city* for a period of, at least, five years. Syracuse Hometown Heroes banner recipients must not have been convicted of a felony as an adult or juvenile for offenses involving violence, domestic violence, illegal drugs, or sexual misconduct. If it is determined that the terms and conditions have has not been met, the Syracuse Parks Conservancy and the City of Syracuse have the right to remove the banner without providing a refund to the banner sponsor.

*The city is defined as an address of a property that pays taxes to the City of Syracuse. A Syracuse mailing address does not necessarily constitute residency in the City of Syracuse.

*DPI stands for “dots per inch.” DPS is used for printer resolution, to indicate the clarity and detail of an image on paper. The higher the DPI, the better an image will reproduce in large sizes.
